Act of Giving, a Seattle based foundation, announced today it is awarding a $10,000 grant to Lake Union Crew Outreach Foundation.

AoG is a unique grant-making organization. Focusing on a theme each year, AoG explores non-profit organizations to learn more about the work they do, to identify possible volunteer opportunities, and to consider submitting grant proposals on their behalf. LUCOF is one of this year's very fortunate beneficiaries of this exploration and grant-writing effort. In fact, we learned that we were the only organization which received unanimous support from the voting members.

It is with deep gratitude and joy that we accept AoG's generous contribution to bringing a clean, available and sustainable water supply to the villagers of Astam, Nepal.
