It was cool for a summer evening, even by Seattle standards, which made it the perfect setting for a cozy evening at the Macrina Sodo Café.

For the 3rd year, Leslie Mackie and her wonderful family and staff at Macrina hosted a benefit dinner for LUC Outreach Foundation, and it seems each one has been better than the previous. While it rained outside, dinner attendees basked in the the candle-lit warmth inside, while enjoying Leslie's superb cooking, wine donated by Noble wines, and local produce donated by Rosella Fruit & Produce.

Raffle prize drawings were interspersed between the 4 courses.  Most guests took home a prize, including the grand prize of a chicken coop built by our own Program Director, Rome Ventura!

Best news of all, we raised more money last night than at any Macrina Benefit dinner - very exciting!.  We are profoundly grateful to the Macrina family for making this opportunity available to LUCOF.  We know full well the number of hours of hard work that go into hosting such a successful evening.  The joy is in the giving, isn't it?
